Free Image Reducer provides a client-side utility to compress and reduce digital image file sizes (JPG, PNG, WebP) directly within your web browser. All processing is performed locally on your device using Web Workers and Canvas APIs.

3. Acceptable Use & User Responsibilities

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You are solely responsible for:

• Ensuring you own or have obtained all necessary rights to process, alter, and download the images you load into the tool.
• Refraining from attempting to reverse-engineer, exploit, or disrupt the website infrastructure.
• Not loading files containing malware or scripts intended to impair site accessibility for others.

4. Intellectual Property & Content Ownership

Your Content Remains Yours: We do not claim any ownership over images you process. Files are processed in your browser memory and never transmitted to our servers, so we have no access to your work.

Website IP: All code, interface designs, logos, and branding comprising the Free Image Reducer site are protected by copyright and belong to the site operator.

5. Compression Results & Target-Size Limitations

We employ binary search algorithms to target specific file sizes, but we do not guarantee every image can achieve every requested target size:

• Entropy limits: High-detail photos have physical limits below which further compression requires aggressive quality reduction or downscaling.
• Lossless formats: PNG is lossless. Small file sizes may require converting to WebP or reducing dimensions.
• Target ceilings: The engine seeks the closest valid output at or below the target, which may be slightly smaller than specified.
• Inspection responsibility: Always inspect the output using our before/after comparison before using images for official submissions.

6. Browser & Device Constraints

Performance depends on your device's hardware (CPU, RAM) and browser support for modern standards such as Web Workers and OffscreenCanvas. Very large images (over 50 MB) may exceed browser memory limits on older devices.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every browser or OS version.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Free Image Reducer, its creators, and operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages—including loss of data, rejected submissions, missed deadlines, or visual degradation—arising from your use of the Service. Always retain backups of your original uncompressed files.
